The Weimarer Land is perfectly equipped for hot summer days: In many places there are well-maintained open-air pools, forest pools or lakeside pools to cool off. And on cloudy days you can use the indoor swimming pool.

Indoor swimming pool – Apolda


Sporty swimmers can enjoy 5 lanes in the 25m sports pool. For guests who cannot swim, the non-swimmer pool offers relaxation and safety at the same time.

There is also a sauna, courses and a separate baby paddling pool. Jumping blocks are also available at the Apolda swimming pool for jumpers.

The leisure and family pool with 30-32°C warm water invites you to relax with a variety of water attractions in the indoor and outdoor areas. Four extraordinary water slides with a total length of 300m guarantee fast-paced fun for the whole family. The spacious outdoor area with sunbathing lawn offers plenty of space for extensive sunbathing in the summer months. Sports enthusiasts can really let off steam on the beach volleyball court and at the table tennis tables.

The pool has a competition pool with 25 m and 50 m lanes and a 3-metre diving tower and large water slide. Younger guests can have fun in the spacious children’s area with paddling pool (70 m²). On the beautiful sunbathing lawn you can relax after sporting activities such as outdoor chess, volleyball, air hockey or table tennis. The snack bar offers a wide range of food and drinks.

Outdoor pool – Bad Berka


The Bad Berka swimming pool is a modern forest and sports pool. The pool has a lane length of approx. 50 m and a depth of 1.80 m. The diving tower is 5 m, 3 m and 1 m deep. You can jump from the diving tower of 5 m, 3 m and 1 m into the cool water. The diving pit is 3.80 m deep. The water temperature is a pleasant 17°C-24°C. For the little ones, there is a children’s pool and a children’s playground. Sports activities can be found on the beach and volleyball court. The whole complex is accessible for the disabled.

Outdoor pool – Bad Sulza


The open-air swimming pool is idyllically located below the Sonnenburg, directly at the camper van site and the “Louise” graduation house on the Ilmtal cycle path. Look forward to a combined multi-purpose pool for swimmers and non-swimmers. Relax and swim your laps in the swimmers’ area or let off steam on the diving towers. In the non-swimmers’ area, a wide slide, a water spout, underwater massage jets and bubble plates provide fun and variety. The little ones can have fun in the paddling pool. You can play sports on the mini-golf course, the beach volleyball court and the table tennis tables. Of course, there is also a playground for all the children.

The entire facility is handicapped accessible and the snack bar provides for your physical well-being.

Adventure pool by the forest – Blankenhain


This pool has an adventure area with a warming hall and a swim-in channel. The pool has five underwater massage jets, a water mushroom, a water cannon and a broad spout. There is also an underwater bench with air bubbles and a whirlpool lounger. A 19 m x 4 m large slide, six 25 m lanes, a diving area with a 1 m diving board, and a 3 m diving platform (diving pit 3.70 m) provide fun and variety in the water. The depth of the multi-purpose sports pool is 2 m.

The well-kept green areas and a sunbathing lawn provide recreation. A volleyball court and some playground equipment provide sporting variety.

Outdoor pool – Oßmannstedt


The outdoor pool is idyllically situated between the Wieland memorial and the landscape park. A large sunbathing lawn, where trees also provide shade, invites you to spend some relaxing hours. There is a diving tower, a volleyball court and a paddling pool for the little ones.

Sports equipment can be rented and refreshments are available at the kiosk.

Outdoor pool – Ottmannshausen


Well-maintained facilities and sunbathing lawns await visitors to this outdoor pool. The water in the 25 m stainless steel pool is heated by a solar system.

A children’s and non-swimmer’s pool is available for younger visitors. Very young guests can refresh themselves in the baby pool.

A slide, diving boards and a playground also provide fun.
