Eckolstädt Riding and Driving Club e. V.

Eckolstädt is a small idyllic village in the Saaleplatte municipality in the easternmost part of the Weimarer Land region. You can reach Reiterhof Heß in Eckolstädt by taking the well-maintained country road from Apolda and Camburg or by turning off the B 88 between Naumburg and Jena in Camburg. The riding stable works with large horses and riding ponies. Offers include boarding boxes, indoor riding arena with grandstand, riding lessons by experienced riding instructors for children and adults, lessons for beginners, hobby and professional riders, and much more.

Hengstbachhof – Hetschburg

The Hengstbachhof is located in the idyllic landscape conservation area “Mittleres Ilmtal” at the mouth of the Hengstbach stream into the Ilm. Hetschburg is nestled in meadows, forests, fields and the Ilmaue with its most beautiful paths, and yet it is close to the attractions of the cultural city of Weimar. The equestrian farm works with Trakehners, Hanoverians, Thuringians and other warmbloods.

Country Pension and Riding Stable Fiala – Hopfgarten

The equestrian farm is located between the cities of Erfurt and Weimar. Visitors can look forward to a family atmosphere paired with home-style cooking and home-baked cakes. About 30 riding ponies up to Haflinger size offer varied and interesting riding holidays even for children without parents. Young riders and those who want to become riders can learn the art of riding in the riding hall or in the riding arena. Advanced riders can experience the attractive landscape on extended cross-country rides.

Golden Vita Ranch – Kleinlohma

In the beautiful Kleinlohma near Blankenhain, the Golden Vita Ranch accommodates horses modelled on nature. In the paddock trail, the horses can meet their natural needs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Cattle of the German Angus breed are also bred. On offer: Horse boarding, guest horse stalls, horse training, riding lessons, cattle sales.

Riding stable Zwickel – Kösnitz

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, guests can experience a farm holiday with lots of animals with the Zwickel family. House garden, hunting lodge, playground and camping facilities are available. There are plenty of animals: medium and large horses of various breeds, ponies, sheep, dogs, cats, rabbits, goats and pigs.

The complex is fantastically situated on the edge of a nature reserve and can be quickly reached via the motorway, which is only 3 km away. The cities of Erfurt, Jena and Weimar are no more than 20 minutes away by car. Offers include lungeing circles for beginners, paddocks, horse training, riding instructors and lessons for adults and children from 6 years of age and recreational and trail riding.

Whether big or small – everyone is welcome here. The riding stable has the right school horse or pony for everyone, whether beginner or advanced. The offer includes lunge lessons for the little ones, group lessons for the older ones, but also individual private lessons in dressage and jumping for advanced riders up to medium level.
Children from the age of 4 are introduced to the feeling and handling of the horse as a partner in a playful way. Children have the opportunity to take part in lead rein or lungeing competitions with ponies.
