Arthouse Apolda Avantgarde

The exhibition venue with an international character in Weimarer Land

Since 1995, exhibitions of international and regional artists have been delighting visitors from all over the world at the Kunsthaus Apolda Avantgarde. In the two-storey villa built in 1872 in the Italian country house style, lectures, auctions, book readings and cinema screenings are also organised. In 2001, this commitment was recognised with the cultural award of the Free State of Thuringia.

The high quality and variety of the exhibitions presented have contributed to over 600,000 visitors finding their way to the Kunsthaus Apolda Avantgarde since 1995.

The Kunsthaus is an ambassador for the Weimarer Land region and the feel-good town of Apolda and stands out above all for its magnificent, often „courageous“ exhibition projects. The high ceilings of the villa and the quiet creaking of the stairs provide a charming contrast. We are not surprised that the house is well-known and popular outside Apolda.
