Culturefactory Apolda

A place of contemporary art in the middle of Weimarer Land

The former Karl Köcher knitwear factory in Apolda was reopened in 2012. No longer do fabrics come off the production line here, but works of art.

In the middle of the city, artists can work directly on site in their studios. In the gallery area, visitors can marvel at the works of the painters, draughtsmen and photographers “ex works”. In addition, three large exhibition halls and a gallery of the Kulturfabrik are available for temporary exhibitions. A series of workshops is also offered.

The active cultural scene in Apolda ensures atmospheric and often very long musical evenings in this authentic refuge.
